Being a sport orientated hotel they offer: Volleyball, basketball,
badminton, handball and table tennis usually complimentary (depends
of demand). The following activities always incur a local charge:-
3 grass football fields, track and field athletics, multipurpose
fields with tartan running track (4 tracks and 6 tracks, 100m
sprint), high-jumping and weight-putting installations, discus
corner, two indoor tennis courts, 13 outdoor tennis courts (7 sand
& 6 all weather courts), fitness room/gym with professional
equipment, snooker, a 9-hole golf course (2.5km away) and 5 x
18-hole golf courses (20 km away). Entertainment programmes during
the day and evening (April - October). Other facilities & services
include:One swimming pool, one children's pool and one heated
indoor pool (heated from Nov. to April) with lounge chairs and
umbrellas, Jacuzzi, sauna, massage, boutique, kiosk, hairdresser,
mini-market, babysitting (payable locally), baby cot, doctor
available twice a week or on request. Umbrellas and lounge chairs
are available on the beach (payable locally).
Exterior: Modern looking building.
Lobby: The hall is large very nicely decorated leading to seating
areas and reception desk.
Rooms
The rooms are spacious and well decorated. All have a private
bathroom, satellite TV with radio, direct dial telephone,
hairdryer, safety deposit box (local charge), air-conditioning,
heating and a furnished balcony. The voltage is 220V and there is
an adapter necessary for other voltages.
Restaurant & Food
The main restaurant 'Boavista' is open from 07.30-10.00 &
18.30-21.30. The snack bar is open from 12.00-16.00 (summer
season). The 'Atlantico' pool bar operates between 10.00-01.00
(summer season) and the 'Beach Bar' from 10.00-18.00
(June-September). The 'Havana' Lobby bar is open daily from 18.
Activities & Sport
The grounds feature a pool with children's pools, a snack bar, sun
loungers and parasols. Guests are also offered an indoor pool, a
sauna and various health therapies (for an additional charge).
Sports activities include 15 tennis courts, 2 football pitches, a
gym, a tartan track, a training court (also for high jump, long
jump, pole vaulting, discus and shot-put) as well as handball. The
nearest golf courses are between 2.5 km and 20 km from the hotel.
The hotel also offers an entertainment programme to ensure that
guests never experience a dull moment.
