Occupying a building constructed in 1870, this four-storey
tradition-rich hotel comprises a total of 136 rooms, of which 14
are suites. The building, in elegant Tuscan style, is surrounded by
over 216,000 m² of parkland. However, the hotel became famous not
only for its unique position but especially because of its
excellent appointment. Completely renovated in 2003, it offers
guests a welcoming foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, hotel safe,
and lift. Further facilities include several salons, a
Stucco-adorned coffee house, a cosy piano bar, and two
air-conditioned à la carte restaurants with an outdoor terrace. The
exclusive offerings are completed by the room and laundry services
and parking spaces for those arriving by car.
Rooms
All the rooms are medium in size and finely furnished in their
original Liberty style and are located on the ground floor. They
are all refined with modern and practical accessories, air
conditioning, plug-in internet connection, telephone line,
mini-bar, satellite TV and Hairdryer. The en-suite bathrooms are
finished in the original liberty or art deco styles that
characterize the hotel.
Restaurant & Food
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered as buffet selections.
Depending on the season, these are also served on the outside
terrace. The midday and evening meal may be taken à la carte or
chosen from a set menu. Special dietary requirements as well as
individual dishes may be prepared on request.
Activities & Sport
The vast hotel grounds offer guests an abundance of diverse
activities. Sports enthusiasts can use the pool area with its
heated pool and separate children's area, in addition to several
tennis courts and jogging paths. There is also a professionally run
and excellently equipped gym available. Guests seeking to relax can
enjoy the large sun terrace with sun lounger and parasols as well
as a poolside snack bar. Within the park grounds, guests can enjoy
an extended stroll, perhaps stopping at a secluded bench to read a
good book. Inside the hotel, there is a health and spa centre, and,
for an additional charge, spa and massage services are available.
There is also a sauna area with a Jacuzzi and steam bath. The
hotel's own golf course is about 8 km away from the hotel
grounds.
