Renovated in 2006, this air-conditioned city hotel is an oasis of
calm and comprises a total of 597 rooms including 9 suites spread
over 16 floors. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour
reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange facility and a lift in
addition to a café, a hairdressing salon, conference facilities and
a public Internet access/ WLAN (fees apply). The 5 restaurants and
a bar offer a varied choice of cuisine including Cantonese, German,
modern European and international buffet. Fees apply for use of the
room and laundry services; there is a car park for those arriving
by car.
Rooms
All of the tastefully furbished rooms and suites feature a bathroom
with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a colour TV with
satellite and cable channels, an in-house film channel, a radio, an
internal message system, Internet access and a hire safe.
Furthermore, a minibar, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities,
ironing equipment, individually controllable air conditioning and
either 2 double beds or 1 king-sized bed come as standard. Selected
rooms have a fax machine to make use of.
Restaurant & Food
There are five highly acclaimed restaurants and bars offering a
wide variety of western and Asian cuisine. Avenue Restaurant and
Bar serves European cuisine and was voted one of the HK's best
restaurants by the HK Tattler. Loong Yuen Cantonese Restaurant
serves Cantonese cuisine and was awarded “Best of the Best Dim Sum”
by the HK Tourism Board. Others are Café Vienna, Delicatessen
Corner and Hari's at Golden Mile.
Activities & Sport
Complimentary health and fitness facilities include an outdoor
swimming pool, a fully air-conditioned gym, a sauna and steam
baths. Cardiovascular and strength training equipment, lockers,
showers and toilets are available in the fitness centre.
Comments
Check-in is from 2 pm; check-out must be completed by 12 noon. The
reception is open in the evenings. Pets are not permitted at this
hotel. There is a kids-eat-for-free programme to take advantage of.
The 24-hour lounge and a porter service may be taken advantage of.
Pool and poolside bar opening hours: in the summer, from 7 am until
9 pm; in the winter, from 7 am until 7 pm. Gym, sauna and steam
bath hours: open daily from 6 am until 11 pm.
